The Doncaster Dome

The Dome in Doncaster is a leading attraction that offers an abundance of activities under one roof. It’s the perfect place to head to during the autumn and winter months when outdoor play isn’t an option.

Children can stay active whilst having fun at the swimming pool’s Big Splash Sessions where the pool’s waterslides and features are open. Big Splash sessions are available every Friday evening, every weekend during term time and daily during the school holidays.

Alternatively, the whole family can enjoy ice cool fun on the UK’s only split-level ice skating rink. The Dome is also home to a spectacular indoor soft play area which has separate areas for younger children and older children.

Check out all activities and events at The Dome on their website.

Boston Park Farm

Boston Park Farm recently won the Yorkshire Posts’ Rural Awards 2024! This traditional working farm is open to the public and provides the opportunity for children to pet and feed an array of farm animals, including lambs, calves, donkeys and bunnies!

Aside from the petting farm, Boston Park Farm also boasts two outdoor play areas, an indoor soft play area, an indoor sandpit, an indoor bouncy castle and a play kitchen. Your family can spend the whole day letting off steam at Boston Park Farm without getting bored.

From the middle of July to the end of October each year, families can also enjoy getting lost in the farm’s Maize Maze.

Their “Open Cockpit” weekend events are a firm favourite with children of all ages who love to climb inside the cockpits and explore the intricacies of each aircraft.

The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 – 17:00 during British Summer Time and 10:00 – 16:00 through the winter, with the last admission one hour before closing time. Tickets for children under 16 are just £4pp and kids under 5 go free!
